The scope of the problems non-governmental organisations (NGOs) try to solve can sometimes leave us feeling daunted.
Topics like poverty alleviation, social justice advocacy, and climate change mitigation can seem intimidating. The reality is that it’s not only OK to start small, but actually necessary.
By concentrating on manageable objectives, you create a solid basis for future expansion and influence. This entails developing a rapport with the populations you work with, taking lessons from pilot programs, and gradually improving your strategy for small NGOs.
Not a broad reach, but deep roots are the foundation of success. Small NGOs have the special advantage of being flexible and nimble, which allows them to interact with local communities on a personal level and create partnerships that last.
SASAL boasts of the above qualities, having experienced all these and much more strengthening us even more to continue engaging with the communities with their full trust.
