ENKANG’ WOMEN GROUP: Handing Over Bidding Materials

It’s been a year of establishing, training & equipping the women of Enkang’ group by SASAL with the necessary skills to effectively run a business to improve their lives.

Our women empowerment model aims at uplifting women’s lives through their collective efforts in such a group in which they are able to collectively own assets/invest in projects that simplify their lives e.g. water projects.

We then handed over all the final materials after training . This marks a very significant step as the women group becomes independent and self-operational!

We are, however, responsible for marketing & selling 80% of their products as they take over the 20% by targeting local tourist lodges & resorts.

Looking forward to significantly uplifting the lives of the women in this group.

ADVOCACY; Toning’o Olosho Lang’- Pastoralists Awake: A common Voice & Agenda- Weekly radio talk show at Mayian FM 100.7- #CLIMATEJUSTICE

Embedded in Our Advocacy campaign dubbed ‘Toning’o Olosho Lang’- Pastoralists Awake: A common Voice & Agenda is a weekly radio talk show at Mayian FM (100.7) critically dissecting the topic of #climatejustice

It has become apparent to us the lack of knowledge/clear differentiation around the concept of #climatejustice hence translating to lack of action to end climate injustice meted upon communities such as the Maasai & other indigenous pastoralists! We are therefore LOCALIZING & SIMPLIFYING these conversations through vernacular media stations as well as traditional songs to promote understanding.
