In April 2024, a devastating flooding event swept across Entasopia village in Kajiado County, destroying valuable property and infrastructure.
However, a section of the community was hit particularly hard as the river drastically changed its course, flooding their homes and farmland. This not only brought their livelihoods back to zero but also took a heavy toll on their psychological and emotional well-being.
What are these invisible effects—those that cannot be seen with the human eye or quantified economically? Stay tuned for a case study we are currently working on to shed light on this critical issue.
